LEADER IDENTIFICATION PROGRAMME
The Prefect/Leader Identification Program is designed to assist in identifying leaders.
The activities used are a mix of Ice Breaker Games, Bonding, Co-Operative, Team Building and Mind Games... Experiential Learning. (Learning by doing!!) Some of the activities take the participants out of their comfort zone, allowing the natural, sometimes unexpected, leaders to emerge. The activities done throughout the day focus on various aspects of teamwork and leadership, placing learners in situations that simulate real life scenarios. The way they play these games is the way they behave in real life!
After the initial ice breaker session, the activities performed by the group are evaluated. Each activity has an evaluation sheet and each learner is assessed under the relevant areas for the activity. For example:
- Leader potential
- Teamwork ability
- Communication skills
- Decision making
- Problem solving
- Managing conflict
- Motivational skills
- Human relations
- Self confidence
The scores are then totaled at the end of the day, giving a clear indication of the strongest leaders. (Those with the highest scores.) The learners are also given the opportunity to rate each other's leadership potential – An extremely enlightening and empowering exercise!
A follow-up report, reflecting a summary of the scores as well as a brief note on how each participant performed, is presented to the school.

“My Experience
At first I was scared because I was going to meet new people and have to stay with someone I just met. But later on I started to relax and enjoy myself.
I held a cub, I was so scared, especially when we had to put on the blind fold and sense where it is. I got so lost in it that I didn't or couldn't sense where it was and I got so lost in my own world that when it touched me on my shoe I got such a fright that the tears ran down my cheeks, but I learnt to be brave and I actually picked it up and from there my confidence came back and my fear disappeared.”

Thanks again for all your help. The evaluations indicated that the children really enjoyed it and were very appreciative. I am already starting to request funding for next year. But then hopefully I will be able to use your services for the whole week. And if possible for a camp.
